Akton® Cubed Pad contains Akton® gel and is designed to help reduce the risk of pressure ulcers. This pad has a castellated top, making it easier to drape, and allowing movement of air, which means that body heat can dissipate. Primarily used to reduce shear, for people who are at risk of pressure ulcers.

The Akton® Cubed has excellent draping qualities for use over another base cushion (always refer to a therapist for advice) to boost pressure relief for clients. It can be used effectively for rise and recliner chairs and the cubed design will envelop effectively. The cube construction of the pad surface allows air circulation, provides cushioning from mild impact, heat dissipation and the comfort of sitting.

    Akton® Cubed is designed to be cut up and used for spot protection on products such as arm pads, foot plates, head/leg rests and splint/braces. You can purchase Akton Sealer Strips 12″x 2″ depth (AO6A) if this is required

    Akton® Cubed can be used in a motorcycle seat as an insert under fabric

    Akton Cubed  are suitable for paediatric clients.
