The Hirer agrees to rent the equipment from Sumed International (UK) Ltd (the Supplier) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By paying the initial rental fee, placing an order to rent, and/or taking delivery of equipment, the Hirer is accepting these Terms and Conditions.
The hire will commence on the date the equipment is delivered and cease on the date the equipment is collected or returned to Integrity House, whichever is the later. The Hirer will provide adequate access to enable the equipment to be delivered and collected.
The Supplier will not be responsible for any accidental damage caused to the Hirer’s property during delivery, usage or collection of the equipment.
The Hirer must have the equipment ready for collection on the agreed date at the end of the period of hire. Failure of the Hirer to make the equipment available on the agreed date may result in the Hirer being responsible for continuing rental payments until the equipment is returned.
The Hirer must confirm the address at which the equipment will be kept during the period of hire. The Supplier must be informed if the equipment is moved to another address.
The minimum rental period will be 7 days, or longer, as stipulated in the initial rental, and the rental amount for the initial period of hire, up to one month, will be paid in advance.
The equipment is the property of the Supplier and will remain the property of the Supplier and will be returned to the Supplier at the end of the hire.
The Hirer will pay a deposit, which will vary depending on the equipment hired, and will be included in the first invoice. This will be refunded on the return of the equipment providing it is in a clean and serviceable condition, free from any defects or faults. Any documents, spares and/or accessories must also be returned.
A delivery and collection charge, which will vary depending on the equipment hired, will be included in the first invoice.
The Hirer will only use the equipment for the purpose for which it was designed and in accordance with the User Manual or Instructions For Use and undertakes to keep it in good repair for the duration of the hire. If any defects or faults are found when the equipment is returned, which are attributable to the Hirer, the Hirer may forfeit their deposit.
The Hirer must not sell, rent or dispose of the equipment or any of its parts, spares and/or accessories. The Hirer must not give anyone any legal rights over the equipment.
The Hirer must not let anyone work on, or modify or attach anything to the product without the prior permission of the Supplier. Any defects or faults found with the equipment following receipt of delivery, must be reported to the Supplier as soon as possible.
The equipment must only be used by the Hirer or by another person if authorised by the Supplier in writing.
The Hirer is responsible for storing the re-usable delivery packaging in which the equipment is sent. The Hirer shall also be responsible for securely re-packaging the equipment prior to collection.
If the equipment is lost or stolen during the period of hire, the Hirer will be responsible for all costs associated with replacing the product.
If the hire charges are not subject to an invoice, the Hirer shall provide credit / debit card details to the Supplier and give the Supplier authority to debit the card for the rental costs of the equipment. The Supplier undertakes not to debit the card with any charges other than the hire charges, without first contacting the Hirer.
If the Hirer fails to make any payment on the due date, the Supplier shall be entitled to cancel the contract and recover any products supplied to the Hirer for which payment has not been made.
The Supplier reserves the right to remove the equipment if the Hirer does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
The Supplier reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time by giving the Hirer 30 days notice in writing. If the Hirer does not accept the change in Terms and Conditions, the rental agreement can be cancelled by the Hirer within 14 days of receipt of the new terms and Conditions, by giving notice in writing to the Supplier.
