Last week Sumed were delighted to be able to host a series of influential and exciting seminars entitled “New Thinking…New Possibilities” featuring Professor Amit Gefen as guest speaker. Professor Amit Gefen is current president of EPUAP and an internationally known and respected speaker and author of over 140 articles in peer reviewed journals worldwide.
Professor Gefen’s presentations explored new research techniques offering new insight into the causes of pressure damage, followed by discussion on how this new understanding highlights the benefits of using air floatation for pressure relief.
The venues included the Entertainments Hall at St James’ Hospital in Portsmouth and the Glynhill hotel Glasgow.
The lectures were enjoyed by a wide variety of clinicians including Tissue Viability Nurses, Occupational therapists, Physiotherapists, Rehabilitation Engineers and District nurses.
